Back to school.. Yipee!!

Last month was spent travelling back and forth to Manji for swimming lessons. Riley did well and mananged to pass a couple more requirements for level one. Who knows next time could be it. Jorja is doing lessons at Boyup Brook in the cold pool.Should be interesting. Steve had a one day off to at the beginning of January. We went Karridale (between August and Margaret River) for a couple of days and ventured off to Lake and Jewel Caves. Riley loved it. Jorja of course wanted to go anywhere with animals. We went to Sunflowers near Margaret River. I did not think it was as good as last time, as there were not as many Rabbits. Steve was not well so had a few dashes to the toilet. We has a huge laugh as I was doing the same on the way back home. This is normal for us to have dramas. I don't think we have even been away when something hasn't happened. Steph, Thomas and Matt came for a few days towards the end of the hols. This has started the attraction of the skatepark. The older kids there are not too impressed with Jorja trying to go up a halfpipe with her tricycle. It is the country so who cares.
We just went to Tim and Jeanette's wedding last Saturday. It was excellent. I was a little silly, but we all had fun so that was the main thing. Kids loved Nanna and Grandad coming to visit. I am sure they loved sleeping together in the same bed Ha Ha. Jorja is still asking about Lloydy and Jennifer. She has developed a real personality and can talk full 6+ word sentences with a little humour. Which is better than whinging. (....sorry not as many photos as we used the video camera)

I am starting my study next week, so hopefully I still have a few brain cells left
after having two kids. We have one year left here. Then it is back to work for me.
The rest time will be over. Steve will have a bit of long service time when we go
back. He will need holidays as he rarely takes them. I am making him use at least
one of his 14wks in July. We will be off to Perth then for our last trip before we
move back permantly.

BEFORE A BIG NIGHT OUT !!

AFTER A FEW DRINKS

.........And then Lisa fell asleep on the stairs before we got to the hotel room at 5.30am....

.......to be continued.

Reunion ...what a blast from the past!!

Finally I am back online. Alot has happened since September. October I went to see Linkin Park with my sister and nephew. Boy... that blew me away. We were three rows from the front and I tell not a lie, but we were the only ones standing. This type of gig does warrant a bit of movement don't you think. Very good concert, better than I thought.

November was full of a few sick days and went very quick I do not think we did that much.

Riley had his sports day....funny

Nelson had a fit and we thought he was bitten by a snake. Thank God! it was not.

This month started again with illness Riley then Jorja. I went to a reunion last week. That was very weird to walk in a room where almost everyone knew you. It helped that a certain someone put a few photos of me on the school web page. It was great to catch up with a few I really wanted to see how they turned out. Really not much had changed, only bigger or balder.
We did not really care what we did or said as we were not at high school anymore.

JORJA'S BIRTHDAY

Hooray, we are back online. Since the last blog we have had a few things happen. Riley had 4 fillings. Hopefully, this will be the last of it. I went to see The Cure in concert. That was excellent. Weekend without the kids is a bonus anytime. I think it was the longest Steve has had both kids. Now he knows what it is all about.

Life in "Fridgetown" is exactly that. Cold and wet. I think we have had two fine days since about May. This is the opposite to Karratha where we had two rainy days in three years. The good thing about it is that the kids really are busting to go outside.

The youngest member of our household has turned 2 and she has really enjoyed the week long celebrations. On Jorja's birthday we went out for dinner then she had a party the following week. This young lady is coming along in leaps and bounds. Even though she has not really grown and is still in size 1 or 0 clothing she makes it up with personality. I must admit she
is a little like me in someways. A bit scarry I know.

"Hooray it is June and I am 5" said Riley

Beginning of June we started off making a new Humpty Dumpty.Jorja said the old one was yukky!!Riley helped me stuff it and he learnt how to sew.I let him do the nose. Not bad really I thought. Now it has a happy face so Jorja likes it.We have used the old eyes from the one Mum made.

Today is Riley's 5th birthday. He has been busting for this day for months as he is the youngest in his class.Yesterday we took him and 3 friends bowling. The day started off fine. Then they only lasted 4 rounds, so had lunch and went back to it. They all had the sugar rush so were off and racing. One of the girls bowled down the wrong lane and I tried to get the ball but that got stuck too. Then I did it again and the balls came unstuck in the gutter. We did have a minor accident with Olivia's(Riley's friend) younger brother Justin. He got his hand stuck the ball return machine. He was fine, but alot of screaming from everyone else. Riley andthe kids did enjoy themselves and was a good day all and all. He was a very spoilt boy and is already talking about next years birthday. Thanks to everyone that brought him a present. He is still playing now.
